Last year I defended Texeria to all my friends in April, saying "Don't worry he's a slow starter", and "Just wait because when he starts hitting it's gonna be amazing!" Luckily he proved me right. At this point, I don't know how much longer I can defend him. Heck, at this point, I don't know if I even believe he's gonna be able to turn it around. Let's face it, the guy looks absolutely LOST at the plate! His defense has been great and there is no one else I'd like to see defending 1st base for the Yankees but c'mon already Tex, hit the D*MN ball already!!!

Unfortunately, Teix is the kind of hitter that can give you 20 HR and 60 RBIs w/ .300 avg in the second half even if he tanks the first half. The question you have to ask is has his performance cost the team many wins so far, and what bat would replace him right now that can put up those numbers in a half season.
